Join the winter Theatre A Go-Go HomeSchool players for a special Celebration of learning and see how we PLAY!!
This is an opportunity for ages 7-13 to share their Performing Arts skills developed over the 10 week Program.
We have been learning about; Folk Tales; integrating the Alberta Education Language Arts and Drama curriculum into the vocal and body training; how to build a character mask and bring a character to life; and how to communicate with confidence in order to share the story.
WHAT: ADVENTURES WITH FOLKTALES - Imagine the world as it is explained through an Indigenous Folktale. Players have chosen to work with an adaptation of the Folk Tale How the Rabbit Stole Fire and through Story Theatre, Mask Play and Performing Arts techniques will share their story with confidence.
WHO: This Celebration of Learning is for friends, family and anyone who would like to see how we play

Director: Tanya Lukenoff, Artistic Director of Theatre A Go-Go, is a performer, instructor, writer and director. Her training has taken her around the world to work with masters in Classical European Theatre. She has acted in Theatre, Film and Television for over twenty years and performed in Festivals and Theatres around Alberta, Toronto and London, England. Tanya has been an educator since 1991 and a learning through the Arts instructor since 1996. She has completed many projects in schools, integrating drama into the curriculum and instructed at various companies throughout Alberta.
