Fall Acting Classes for ages 12-17

Fall Acting Classes in Calgary for ages 12-17

This autumn at Theatre A Go-Go, it’s all about new beginnings, believing in yourself, and the Magical world of Fractured Fairy Tales. We’re proud to present our exciting Acting Classes. Join us, meet new friends and have fun while gaining confidence in physical, emotional and verbal literacy!

The word autumn comes from the ancient Etruscan root autu- and has within it connotations of the passing of the year. Autumn marks a transition in seasons where many people turn inward, both physically and mentally. Since it is the season of the primary harvest, what better way to celebrate the autumn than to harvest the bounty of riches within?

Where something ends, there is a new beginning. Theatre A Go-Go offers the tools to write the chapter of new beginnings as active participants express themselves with confidence, through fun Drama/Theatre Arts Classes. Register your loved one(s) and celebrate the bounty of riches within!

WHAT: THE AUDITION PROCESS - Imagine learning how to successfully enter and leave an audition room, and everything in between. These classes will focus on finding/developing a monologue as well as theatre audition skills. The three basic areas covered are:

THE CHOICE - how and where to find appropriate material that is well-suited to you, regarding your personal uniqueness and castability.

THE WORKSHOP – explore Physical Theatre techniques to effectively mount and execute the choice to best demonstrate your skills.

THE AUDITION - a practical understanding of the audition process, and mastery of the dynamics involved with presenting yourself in a theatre audition situation, including participating in mock auditions.

The goal is for students to leave the class with prepared material and the confidence to do well in their auditions!
