Join the Summer Theatre A Go-Go players for a special Celebration of learning and see how we PLAY!!

This is an opportunity for ages 7-13 to share their Performing Arts skills developed over the 1 week program.

We have been developing our vocal and body expression; and expanding our awareness and knowledge of developing a character, in order to share a story with confidence.

 WHAT: ADVENTURES IN SHERWOOD FOREST adapted by Tanya Lukenoff and based on the Legends of Robin Hood

Imagine a serene Sherwood Forest and the animals that live there. Peaceful until the Sherriff of Rottingham shows up. Led by Robin Hood, new friendships are strengthened as the Animals band together to save Sherwood Forest. Through Storytelling, Mask making and Performing Arts techniques, players will enrich their communication skills by expressing their character and story, with confidence.

 WHEN: Friday July 14 @ 5:00pm

WHERE: Lower level of the Parkdale Community Centre (3512 5Ave. N.W.), in the Morpheus Rehearsal Centre

INVESTMENT: Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted to help build a Production fund; to acquire a lighting and sound system.

Director: Tanya Lukenoff is the Artistic Director of Theatre A Go-Go, and a performer, instructor, writer and director. Her training has taken her around the world to work with masters in Classical European Theatre. She has acted in Theatre, Film and Television for over twenty years and performed in Festivals and Theatres around Alberta, Toronto and London, England. Tanya has been an educator since 1991 and a learning through the Arts instructor since 1996. She has completed many projects in schools, integrating drama into the curriculum and instructed at various companies throughout Alberta.
