As each season sets the stage for the next; nature is very skilled and accepting of the “what is” and using it to unfold the “what can be.” Winter is the season of introversion and contemplation, as it brings many changes to the world, and provides the setting for renewal. 

Theatre A Go-Go offers the tools for active participants to express themselves with confidence through fun Drama Classes! As we transition in to this season of “What can be”, register your loved one(s) and provide the setting for renewal where they can meet new friends and have fun while gaining confidence in physical, emotional and verbal literacy!

This winter, it’s all a Mystery to us! Whether your loved one/s want to expand their expressive powers, or explore the Theatrical world of Detective Novels, we have the Classes to suit your fancy! In these uncertain times, there is one thing that we are certain of and that is the importance of safety for all. We will be adhering to our COVID -19 Protocols & Policies document. This document has been developed in conjunction with the most recent documents as provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the archived sector-specific guidance documents from previous stages. Further information will be given upon completion of registration. Our goal is to mitigate the risk of transmission and ensure that our relaunch is sustainable.

WHO: Homeschoolers ages 9 - 14

WHAT: THE MAGNIFICIENT MOUSE DETECTIVES AND THE MYSTERY OF THE TRAP – Imagine London 1897 where heroic mice embark on their greatest mystery case yet by pitting wits against old arch-enemies to save all of Mousedom. In a fun-filled series of drama classes, players will begin with self-development drama activities in order to expand their vocal and body expressive tools. With this enriched self-awareness they will then develop their communication skills through Storytelling, Theatre and Performing Arts techniques. On the last day of Classes, players will share their Theatre and Performing Arts skills with confidence, by presenting an adaptation of the children's book series "Basil of Baker Street" by Eve Titus. This Celebration of Learning is for friends, family and anyone who would like to see how we play. These classes are connected to the Alberta Education Language Arts and Drama curriculum, and include studies in: storytelling, team building, presentation, problem solving, creativity, vocal and body training, and public speaking skills.

WHEN: Mondays, 12:00pm-3:00pm from Jan. 10 – Mar. 28, 2022 (no class Feb. 21 and from 12:00 until 6:00pm on Mar. 28)

INVESTMENT: Discount= $260/player if registered by Dec. 27 and for members of the same family Or Regular = $290/player

Investment includes: 11 classes x 3 hours/class plus 3 hours for dress rehearsal and performance at the end of the program = 36 hours. (Costumes, props and set supplied by Theatre A Go-Go)

Payment: Payment information located on registration form. *Please note that if you pay with Credit Card, you will be charged an extra $10 service fee, per registration.*
