About Theatre A Go-Go – Calgary Theatre Company and School

Creation of a Calgary Theatre Company and School

Theatre A Go-Go was co-founded by Tanya Lukenoff and Katherine Kass in the fall of 1987. Tanya and Katherine were commissioned to produce various performances for the Calgary Olympic Arts Festival and Theatre A Go-Go was born. Created as a performance based Physical Theatre Company, Theatre A Go-Go has created and performed many productions and for various organizations and Festivals such as: The Calgary International Children’s Festival and Theatre Calgary’s Cushion Concert series.

Under the mentorship of the then Artistic Director of Theatre Calgary James Brewer, Tanya was introduced to the world of drama instruction. Discovering a great passion for inspiring all ages to explore and express with confidence, Tanya continues instructing under the Theatre A Go-Go flagship.

Theatre A Go-Go Calgary has expanded our horizons over the years to include various teaching artists and Theatre Arts classes, and so the School was created in 2009. Since its inception, the School has inspired many young people, families, organizations and teachers to

IMAGINE - EXPLORE – EXPRESS – PLAY through drama and Theatre Arts.
